The regional unions contribute to the organisation of regional healthcare provision. In particular, they participate in:
1° Preparing and implementing the regional health project;
2° Analysing health needs and health care provision, particularly with a view to drawing up the regional health plan;
3° The organisation of professional practice, particularly with regard to permanent care, continuity of care and new ways of practising;
4° Actions in the field of care, prevention, health monitoring, health crisis management, health promotion and therapeutic education;
5° The implementation of multi-annual contracts for objectives and resources with coordination support schemes, specific regional schemes, health centres, health centres and health clusters, or contracts aimed at improving the quality and coordination of care as referred to in article L. 1435-4;
6° The deployment and use of shared communication and information systems;
7° The implementation of continuing professional development.
They may analyse aggregated national and regional data from the national inter-scheme health insurance information system in relation to their missions.
