The lists of candidates are presented by union. In the case of the regional union of doctors, the lists are presented by college. The lists include a number of candidates equal to the number of members of the assembly of the regional union to be elected, with the exception of the lists of candidates for the unions mentioned in 1° and 2° of II of article R. 4031-6, which include four and eight candidates respectively, as well as the lists of candidates for elections for which only one trade union organisation has been authorised to submit lists, which include a number of candidates 20% higher than the number of members of the assembly of the regional union to be elected, rounded up where necessary.
Professionals practising in more than one region may only stand for election in the region where they are principally practising. No person may appear on more than one list. With regard to the lists intended to elect the members of the regional union of doctors, each list may only concern one college.
A union formed from the merger of several unions, one of which fulfils the two-year seniority condition defined in article L. 4031-2, is also deemed to fulfil this condition.
