The skills consolidation course provided for in I of article L. 4111-2 is completed on a full-time basis, in a host structure listed in the order referred to in article R. 4111-1-1, in the profession and, where applicable, in the speciality for which the candidates are applying for authorisation to practise. The duration of this course is two years for applicants to the profession of doctor and one year for applicants to the profession of dental surgeon and midwife.
The Director General of the Centre National de Gestion organises, at the end of the knowledge verification tests, a national procedure for choosing a post in accordance with the conditions laid down by order of the Minister for Health.
For each profession and, where applicable, each speciality, successful candidates choose, in order of ranking, the post in which they will complete the skills consolidation course.
The Director General of the National Management Centre, on behalf of the Minister for Health, assigns each successful candidate in accordance with the selection procedure mentioned in the second paragraph of this article.
If the candidate completes his or her skills consolidation programme in a private establishment of collective interest or a private establishment, he or she is assigned to the university hospital centre of the subdivision in which this establishment is located. He/she is made available by means of an agreement.
