Article R4125-8 of the French Public Health Code

Withdrawal by a candidate, a pair of candidates or one of the members of a pair of candidates of their candidacy for a council may only occur in the interval between the submission of their candidacy and the date of dispatch of the voting instruments provided for in article R. 4125-10. Withdrawal of the candidacy of one of the members of the two-member team shall entail the withdrawal of the candidacy of the entire two-member team.

Withdrawal of candidacies for the disciplinary chambers may take place no later than fifteen days before the date of the ballot.

The Council concerned shall be notified of the withdrawal by registered letter with acknowledgement of receipt, or a receipt shall be deposited at the Council’s registered office.

Article R4125-8

Le retrait par un candidat, un binôme de candidats ou l’un des membres du binôme de sa candidature à un conseil ne peut intervenir que dans l’intervalle compris entre le dépôt de celle-ci et la date d’envoi des instruments de vote prévue à l’article R. 4125-10. Le retrait de candidature d’un seul des membres du binôme entraine le retrait de la candidature de l’ensemble du binôme.

Le retrait de candidatures aux chambres disciplinaires peut intervenir quinze jours au plus tard avant la date de scrutin.

Il est notifié au conseil intéressé par lettre recommandée avec avis de réception ou déposé au siège du conseil contre récépissé.
