The appeal must be lodged with or sent by post to the registry of the National Disciplinary Chamber.
As soon as the appeal request is received, the registry informs all the addressees of the contested decision that the appeal has been registered and that it has suspensive effect. It also notifies the Disciplinary Chamber of first instance, which forwards the case file to it within eight days.
However, if, upon receipt of the appeal, the President rules by means of an order pursuant to the provisions of article R. 4126-5, the addressees of the contested decision are notified of this order without having to be informed of the appeal beforehand.
If the suspensive nature of the appeal has had an effect on the period of execution of the sentence set in the decision of first instance, the President shall, by the same order, set new dates for such execution.
