Article R413-8 of the French Code governing the entry and residence of foreign nationals and the right of asylum

The personalised interview referred to in article R. 413-3 is designed to inform foreign nationals, with regard to their settlement plans, of the territorial range of services available to facilitate, in particular, their professional integration and their reception and integration conditions pursuant to 3° and 4° of article L. 413-3 and to assess their French language skills under the conditions set out in article R. 413-9.Foreign nationals who do not wish to receive vocational guidance, or the support designed to promote their professional integration that complements it, express their request for exemption at this interview.

L’entretien personnalisé mentionné à l’article R. 413-3 vise à informer l’étranger, au regard de son projet d’installation, de l’offre territoriale de services de nature à faciliter, notamment, son insertion professionnelle et ses conditions d’accueil et d’intégration en application des 3° et 4° de l’article L. 413-3 et à évaluer ses compétences linguistiques en français dans les conditions prévues à l’article R. 413-9.
Au cours de cet entretien, l’étranger en recherche d’emploi est orienté par l’Office français de l’immigration et de l’intégration, en fonction de sa situation et de ses besoins, vers un organisme concourant au service public de l’emploi pour bénéficier d’un entretien approfondi en orientation professionnelle puis de l’accompagnement adapté mentionné au 3° de l’article L. 413-3.
L’étranger qui ne souhaite pas bénéficier d’un conseil en orientation professionnelle, ni de l’accompagnement destiné à favoriser son insertion professionnelle qui le complète, exprime sa demande de dispense lors de cet entretien.
