The approval referred to in Article L. 4151-7 is granted for a period of five years by the President of the Regional Council to midwifery training schools whose project meets the following conditions:
1° Qualification of the directors of the midwifery schools ;
2° Existence of an educational project;
3° Suitability, in terms of number and quality, of the teaching staff for the training provided in accordance with the conditions defined by order of the Minister for Health;
4° Suitability of the premises and technical and teaching equipment for the number of students enrolled, in accordance with the conditions laid down by order of the Minister for Health;
5° Adaptation of the planned capacity of the school, either to the total capacity of the schools and to the number of students to be admitted to the first year of study set in accordance with article L. 4151-7, or, in the absence of any determination of this number, to the training needs assessed by the region.
The application for approval, the composition of which is set by order of the Minister for Health, is drawn up by the legal representative of the training school and sent to the President of the Regional Council of the region in which the school is located.
Approval may be withdrawn after formal notice has been served and by a reasoned decision, if the conditions laid down in this article are no longer met.
