Article R421-6 of the French Intellectual Property Code

The examination board responsible for supervising the tests in the examination provided for in article R. 421-1 (4°) comprises a magistrate of the judiciary, president, a university professor teaching private law, a lawyer, two persons qualified in industrial property and four persons registered on the list of persons qualified in industrial property, including two industrial property attorneys. A deputy is appointed for each full member.

The conditions for the appointment of the members of the jury and their alternates shall be laid down by joint order of the Minister of Justice, the Minister responsible for industrial property and the Minister responsible for higher education.

Le jury chargé du contrôle des épreuves de l’examen prévu à l’article R. 421-1 (4°) comprend un magistrat de l’ordre judiciaire, président, un professeur d’université enseignant le droit privé, un avocat, deux personnes compétentes en propriété industrielle et quatre personnes inscrites sur la liste des personnes qualifiées en propriété industrielle, dont deux conseils en propriété industrielle. Il est désigné un suppléant pour chaque membre titulaire.

Les conditions de désignation des membres du jury et de leurs suppléants sont fixées par arrêté conjoint du garde des sceaux, ministre de la justice, du ministre chargé de la propriété industrielle et du ministre chargé de l’enseignement supérieur.
