Article R4212-2 of the French Labour Code

Ventilation systems are designed to :
1° Ensure that the air is renewed at all points in the premises;
2° Do not cause discomfort in the work areas, in particular as a result of air speed, temperature and humidity, noise and vibrations;
3° Do not lead to a significant increase in noise levels resulting from the activities envisaged in the premises.

Les installations de ventilation sont conçues de manière à :
1° Assurer le renouvellement de l’air en tous points des locaux ;
2° Ne pas provoquer, dans les zones de travail, de gêne résultant notamment de la vitesse, de la température et de l’humidité de l’air, des bruits et des vibrations ;
3° Ne pas entraîner d’augmentation significative des niveaux sonores résultant des activités envisagées dans les locaux.
