Article R422-65 of the French Intellectual Property Code

Any referral or complaint provided for in this Section shall be made by registered letter with acknowledgement of receipt or by any method of teletransmission which confers a date certain on its receipt in accordance with the conditions defined by decision of the Director General of the National Institute of Industrial Property.

The Director General of the National Institute of Industrial Property may require that referrals, complaints or opinions be transmitted electronically where this is likely to facilitate their examination.

Toute saisine ou plainte prévue par la présente section est effectuée par lettre recommandée avec demande d’avis de réception ou par tout mode de télétransmission permettant de conférer une date certaine à sa réception dans les conditions définies par décision du directeur général de l’Institut national de la propriété industrielle.

Le directeur général de l’Institut national de la propriété industrielle peut imposer une transmission sous forme électronique des saisines, plaintes ou avis lorsque cette modalité est de nature à en faciliter l’examen.
