Article R4235-53 of the French Public Health Code

The interior and exterior of the pharmacy must be in keeping with professional dignity.

In addition to its name, the external signage of the pharmacy may only include the following emblems and indications:

1° A green Greek cross, illuminated or not;

2° A green pharmaceutical caduceus, illuminated or not, as recognised by the Ministry of Health as the official emblem of French pharmacists and consisting of a cup of Hygie and a serpent of Epidaurus;

3° Where applicable, the name or acronym of the association, group or network of which the pharmacist is a member; this name or acronym may not take precedence over the name or identity of the pharmacy.

La présentation intérieure et extérieure de l’officine doit être conforme à la dignité professionnelle.

La signalisation extérieure de l’officine ne peut comporter, outre sa dénomination, que les emblèmes et indications ci-après :

1° Croix grecque de couleur verte, lumineuse ou non ;

2° Caducée pharmaceutique de couleur verte, lumineux ou non, tel que reconnu par le ministère chargé de la santé en tant qu’emblème officiel des pharmaciens français et constitué par une coupe d’Hygie et un serpent d’Epidaure ;

3° Le cas échéant, le nom ou le sigle de l’association, du groupement ou du réseau dont le pharmacien est membre ; ce nom ou ce sigle ne saurait prévaloir sur la dénomination ou l’identité de l’officine.
