Article R4313-71 of the French Labour Code

The notified body must periodically carry out investigations and checks to ensure that the manufacturer maintains and applies the approved quality assurance system. The body may pay unannounced visits to the manufacturer. It provides the manufacturer with a visit report and, where appropriate, an expert report. The notified body’s reports are sent to the manufacturer under the conditions set out in Articles R. 4313-58 and R. 4313-59.

L’organisme notifié procède périodiquement à des enquêtes et contrôles pour s’assurer que le fabricant maintient et applique le système d’assurance qualité approuvé. Il fournit un rapport d’expertise au fabricant.L’organisme peut procéder à des visites inopinées chez le fabricant. Il fournit un rapport de visite au fabricant et, le cas échéant, un rapport d’expertise. Les rapports de l’organisme notifié sont adressés au fabricant dans les conditions fixées par les articles R. 4313-58 et R. 4313-59.
