Article R432-14 of the French Code governing the entry and residence of foreign nationals and the right of asylum

In front of the residence permit commission, the foreign national submits the grounds on which he is basing his application for the granting or renewal of a residence permit. A record of the foreign national’s explanations is sent to the Prefect, together with the committee’s reasoned opinion. The person concerned is also notified of the committee’s opinion.

Article R432-14

Devant la commission du titre de séjour, l’étranger fait valoir les motifs qu’il invoque à l’appui de sa demande d’octroi ou de renouvellement d’un titre de séjour. Un procès-verbal enregistrant ses explications est transmis au préfet avec l’avis motivé de la commission. L’avis de la commission est également communiqué à l’intéressé.
