Article R434-10 of the French Code governing the entry and residence of foreign nationals and the right of asylum

If only partial reunification is requested, the application must include, in addition to the information mentioned in articles R. 434-8 and R. 434-9:
1° A statement of the reasons, relating in particular to the health or schooling of the child(ren) or to the family’s housing conditions, which justify, with regard to the interests of the child(ren), that family reunification is not requested for the whole family;
2° A list of those family members for whom family reunification is requested.

Article R434-10

Dans le cas où le regroupement sollicité n’est que partiel, la demande comporte, outre les éléments mentionnés aux articles R. 434-8 et R. 434-9 :
1° L’exposé des motifs, tenant notamment à la santé ou à la scolarité du ou des enfants ou aux conditions de logement de la famille, qui justifient, au regard de l’intérêt du ou des enfants, que le regroupement familial ne soit pas demandé pour l’ensemble de la famille ;
2° La liste de ceux des membres de la famille pour lesquels le regroupement familial est demandé.
