Article R434-17 of the French Code governing the entry and residence of foreign nationals and the right of asylum

The mayor and the Office français de l’immigration et de l’intégration may, if necessary, refer the matter to the competent regional directorate for business, competition, consumer affairs, labour and employment with a request for an investigation into the employment that provides the applicant for family reunification with all or part of the resources he or she claims.

Article R434-17

Le maire et l’Office français de l’immigration et de l’intégration peuvent saisir, en tant que de besoin, la direction régionale des entreprises, de la concurrence, de la consommation, du travail et de l’emploi compétente d’une demande d’enquête sur l’emploi qui procure au demandeur du regroupement familial tout ou partie des ressources dont il fait état.
