Article R4412-82 of the French Labour Code

When informed by the occupational physician that a biological limit value has been exceeded, under the conditions set out in Article R. 4412-51-1, the employer:

1° Carries out a risk assessment in accordance with sub-section 2;

2° Implements the preventive measures and means provided for in Articles R. 4412-67 to R. 4412-73 ;

3° Carries out the checks on occupational exposure limit values provided for in sub-section 4;

4° Stops work at the workstations concerned until measures have been implemented to ensure the protection of workers.

Lorsqu’il est informé par le médecin du travail du dépassement d’une valeur limite biologique, dans les conditions prévues à l’article R. 4412-51-1, l’employeur :


1° Procède à l’évaluation des risques conformément à la sous-section 2 ;


2° Met en œuvre les mesures et moyens de prévention prévus aux articles R. 4412-67 à R. 4412-73 ;


3° Procède aux contrôles des valeurs limites d’exposition professionnelle prévus à la sous-section 4 ;


4° Arrête le travail aux postes concernés jusqu’à la mise en œuvre des mesures propres à assurer la protection des travailleurs.
