Article R4426-12 of the French Labour Code

The occupational physician is informed by the employer of the deaths and absences due to illness of workers exposed to pathogenic biological agents, when these absences exceed the durations set by joint order of the ministers responsible for labour, health and agriculture according to the nature of the activities carried out and the conditions of exposure to the biological agents.

Le médecin du travail est informé par l’employeur des décès et des absences pour cause de maladie des travailleurs exposés à des agents biologiques pathogènes, lorsque ces absences excèdent des durées fixées par arrêté conjoint des ministres chargés du travail, de la santé et de l’agriculture en fonction de la nature des activités exercées et des conditions d’exposition aux agents biologiques.
