Article R4432-11 of the French General Code of Local Authorities

Members of the regional economic, social and environmental council and the council for culture, education and the environment are appointed for six years.

In the event of a vacancy, for any reason whatsoever, established by the president of the council and notified to the president of the regional council and to the prefect, the vacancy is filled under the initial conditions of appointment provided for in articles R. 4432-1 to R. 4432-10.

The new member is appointed under the conditions and within the timeframe provided for in article R. 4432-10, this timeframe running from the notification of the vacancy.

Any person appointed to replace a member of a Board shall hold office until the expiry of the term of office of the person whom he replaces.

The term of office of the members of the regional economic, social and environmental council and the council for culture, education and the environment is renewable.

Les membres du conseil économique, social et environnemental régional et du conseil de la culture, de l’éducation et de l’environnement sont désignés pour six ans.

En cas de vacance, pour quelque motif que ce soit, constatée par le président du conseil et notifiée au président du conseil régional et au préfet, il est pourvu à cette vacance dans les conditions initiales de désignation prévues aux articles R. 4432-1 à R. 4432-10.

Il est procédé à la désignation du nouveau membre dans les conditions et délais prévus à l’article R. 4432-10, ce délai courant à compter de la notification de la vacance.

Toute personne désignée pour remplacer un membre d’un conseil exerce son mandat jusqu’à expiration du mandat de la personne qu’elle remplace.

Le mandat des membres du conseil économique, social et environnemental régional et du conseil de la culture, de l’éducation et de l’environnement est renouvelable.
