Minutes of the election are drawn up immediately. It shall state the time at which the meeting opened and closed, the number of votes obtained by each candidate and the result of the election. It shall mention any complaints and the reasoned decisions taken by the polling station regarding any incidents that may have occurred during the voting process.
Ballot papers and envelopes declared invalid or contested shall be appended to it. The other ballot papers, together with the original minutes and the annexes thereto, shall be kept in sealed envelopes at the registered office of the body concerned for a period of three months following the election or, if the election is referred to the competent bodies, until the final decision has been taken.
The minutes of the election shall be signed by the members of the polling station.
As soon as the minutes have been drawn up, the results shall be announced by the chairman of the polling station.
The meeting may not be declared closed until the results of the ballot have been declared and the minutes have been signed.
A copy of the minutes shall be sent immediately, by any means giving a date certain of its receipt:
1° to the National Council;
2° to the Government of New Caledonia or French Polynesia;
3° to the representative of the State in New Caledonia or French Polynesia;
4° to the disciplinary chamber concerned by the election.
The results of the elections are published in the Official Journal of New Caledonia or French Polynesia, as well as on the websites of the professional body concerned and the National Council.
