Article R4514-9 of the French Labour Code

Before the work begins, if a staff representative on the social and economic committee is to be part of the team working in the user undertaking and the committee intends to take part in the prior joint inspection, pursuant to the second paragraph of Article R. 4514-3, this staff representative is appointed to take part in this inspection.
Otherwise, the committee may appoint an elected staff representative holding another mandate, if he is to be assigned to the user undertaking.

Avant le début des travaux, lorsqu’un représentant du personnel au comité social et économique est appelé à faire partie de l’équipe intervenant dans l’entreprise utilisatrice et que le comité entend participer à l’inspection commune préalable, en application du deuxième alinéa de l’article R. 4514-3, ce représentant du personnel est désigné pour participer à cette inspection.
Dans le cas contraire, le comité peut désigner un représentant du personnel élu titulaire d’un autre mandat, s’il est appelé à être affecté dans l’entreprise utilisatrice.
