Article R4532-1 of the French Labour Code

Building and civil engineering operations are classified into three categories:
1° First category: operations subject to the obligation to set up an inter-company college for safety, health and working conditions;
2° Second category: operations subject to the obligation of prior declaration provided for in article L. 4532-1 that do not come under the first category;
3° Third category: operations subject to the obligation to draw up a simplified general coordination plan in application of articles R. 4532-52 and R. 4532-54 and other operations that do not come under the first and second categories.

Article R4532-1

Les opérations de bâtiment et de génie civil sont classées en trois catégories :
1° Première catégorie : opérations soumises à l’obligation de constituer un collège interentreprises de sécurité, de santé et des conditions de travail ;
2° Deuxième catégorie : opérations soumises à l’obligation de déclaration préalable prévue à l’article L. 4532-1 ne relevant pas de la première catégorie ;
3° Troisième catégorie : opérations soumises à l’obligation d’établir un plan général de coordination simplifié en application des articles R. 4532-52 et R. 4532-54 et autres opérations ne relevant pas des première et deuxième catégories.
