Article R4534-72 of the French Labour Code

When demolition work is carried out at a height not exceeding 6 metres above ground level, the installation of a work floor is not compulsory, subject to the following provisions:
1° The work may only be entrusted to qualified workers;
2° It is forbidden to allow workers to climb walls to be demolished that are less than 35 centimetres thick.

Lorsque les travaux de démolition sont réalisés à une hauteur qui ne dépasse pas 6 mètres au-dessus du sol, l’installation d’un plancher de travail n’est pas obligatoire, sous réserve des dispositions suivantes :
1° Les travaux ne peuvent être confiés qu’à des travailleurs qualifiés ;
2° Il est interdit de laisser monter des travailleurs sur des murs à déraser de moins de 35 centimètres d’épaisseur.
