Article R4542-2 of the French Labour Code

For the purposes of this chapter, a display screen means an alphanumeric or graphic screen, regardless of the display method used.
Workstation” means the assembly comprising work equipment including a display screen, a keyboard or data entry device, peripherals, a seat and a table or work surface, as well as the immediate work environment.

Pour l’application des dispositions du présent chapitre, on entend par écran de visualisation, un écran alphanumérique ou graphique quel que soit le procédé d’affichage utilisé.
On entend par poste de travail, l’ensemble comprenant un équipement de travail comportant notamment un écran de visualisation, un clavier ou un dispositif de saisies de données, des périphériques, un siège et une table ou une surface de travail, ainsi que l’environnement de travail immédiat.
