Article R46 of the French Code of Criminal Procedure

In the event of opposition by the accused, the head of the court registry shall notify the public prosecutor or the officer of the public prosecutor’s office without delay, and shall forward the documents in the proceedings.

En cas d’opposition formée par le prévenu, le chef du greffe avise sans délai le procureur de la République ou l’officier du ministère public, et lui transmet les pièces de la procédure.
