Article R4622-18 of the French Labour Code

Fairground businesses are members of an inter-company occupational health and prevention service with territorial jurisdiction:

1° Either for the municipality in which the employer resides, or for the municipality in which the organisation to which the employer has elected domicile under the conditions set out in article L. 264-1 of the Code de l’Action Sociale et des Familles (Social Action and Family Code) is located;

2° Or for one of the municipalities in which the company usually operates.

When a fairground company is called upon to take on a worker during a visit to a locality far from an examination centre of the occupational health and prevention service to which it is affiliated, the medical examination of fitness or the information and prevention visit carried out on recruitment may take place during the next visit to a locality where one of these centres operates within a period not exceeding one year.

Les entreprises foraines adhèrent à un service de prévention et de santé au travail interentreprises territorialement compétent :

1° Soit pour la commune de résidence de l’employeur, soit pour la commune où se situe l’organisme auprès duquel il a fait élection de domicile dans les conditions prévues à l’ article L. 264-1 du code de l’action sociale et des familles ;

2° Soit pour l’une des communes où l’entreprise exerce habituellement son activité.

Lorsqu’une entreprise foraine est appelée à embaucher un travailleur lors de son passage dans une localité éloignée d’un centre d’examen du service de prévention et de santé au travail auquel elle est affiliée, l’examen médical d’aptitude ou la visite d’information et de prévention réalisés à l’embauche peuvent avoir lieu lors du prochain passage dans une localité où fonctionne un de ces centres dans un délai qui n’excède pas un an.
