Article R4643-23 of the French Labour Code

Each year, the Regional Prevention Committee Council elects from among its members a bureau consisting of a chairman and a vice-chairman, who is responsible for replacing the chairman if he is absent or unable to attend.
Where the chairman belongs to the category of members appointed on the proposal of employers’ professional organisations, the vice-chairman is chosen from among the members appointed on the proposal of employees’ trade union organisations, and vice versa.

Le conseil de comité régional de prévention élit, chaque année, en son sein, un bureau composé d’un président et d’un vice-président, lequel est chargé de remplacer le président en cas d’absence ou d’empêchement.
Lorsque le président appartient à la catégorie des membres désignés sur proposition des organisations professionnelles d’employeurs, le vice-président est choisi parmi les membres désignés sur proposition des organisations syndicales de salariés, et inversement.
