Persons engaged in the manufacture, processing and domestic and international trade of psychotropic substances and their preparations are required to enter in a register or to record by any appropriate system meeting the characteristics laid down in the first paragraph of article R. 5132-9:
1° The nature and quantity of psychotropic substances or their preparations used ;
2° The nature and quantity of the product or products obtained;
3° The nature and quantity of psychotropic substances and their preparations which are acquired or imported, transferred or exported, specifying for each transaction the name and address of either the supplier or the purchaser;
4° The date on which the operations were carried out.
Invoices, manufacturing documents, delivery notes and order forms may be used in place of records, provided that they can be used to justify transactions and to provide the precise information required to draw up the annual statements referred to in article R. 5132-93.
The register, the records or the documents in lieu thereof are kept for ten years from the last operation mentioned, to be presented at the request of the supervisory authorities.
This article applies to the departments, establishments and organisations mentioned in 8° of I and II of article R. 5132-89.
