Article R518-39 of the French Monetary and Financial Code

Voluntary deposits shall be returned to the depositor, his authorised representative or his successors in title at the time agreed in the deed of deposit or, if no time has been agreed, upon presentation. Those who retain their funds in this way will not be subject to any other condition than that of handing over the acknowledgement of the fund and signing their receipt.

Le dépôt volontaire est rendu à celui qui l’a fait, à son fondé de pouvoir ou à ses ayants cause, à l’époque convenue par l’acte de dépôt, et, s’il n’en a pas été convenu, à simple présentation. Ceux qui retiennent ainsi leurs fonds ne seront soumis à aucune autre condition que celle de remettre la reconnaissance de la caisse et de signer leur quittance.
