Article R518-40 of the French Monetary and Financial Code

Sums deposited voluntarily may only be seized in the cases, forms and under the conditions provided for in articles L. 211-1 to L. 211-5, L. 162-1 and L. 162-2, L. 511-1 to L. 511-4, L. 512-1 and L. 512-2 of the Code of Civil Enforcement Procedures.

Oppositions may nevertheless be received, without the said forms being observed, from the depositor who declares that he has lost his receipt.

Les sommes déposées volontairement ne pourront être saisies que dans les cas, les formes et sous les conditions prévus aux articles L. 211-1 à L. 211-5, L. 162-1 et L. 162-2, L. 511-1 à L. 511-4, L. 512-1 et L. 512-2 du code des procédures d’exécution.

Pourront néanmoins être reçues des oppositions, sans que lesdites formes soient observées, de la part du déposant qui déclarerait avoir perdu son récépissé.
