Article R5213-4 of the French Labour Code

The pre-orientation is carried out in the context of a work placement lasting an average of eight weeks per trainee, which may not exceed twelve weeks.
To this end, the approval of the training course provided for in article L. 6341-4 is expressed in terms of the number of trainee weeks. This is at most equal to the product of the number of places multiplied by the annual number of working weeks.

La préorientation est opérée dans le cadre d’un stage dont la durée est en moyenne et par stagiaire de huit semaines sans pouvoir excéder douze semaines.
A cet effet, l’agrément du stage prévu à l’article L. 6341-4 est exprimé en nombre de semaines-stagiaires. Ce dernier est au plus égal au produit du nombre de places par le nombre annuel de semaines ouvrées.
