Article R531-3 of the French Code governing the entry and residence of foreign nationals and the right of asylum

The application for asylum is made in French on a form drawn up by the French Office for the Protection of Refugees and Stateless Persons. This form must be signed and accompanied by two recent identity photographs, a copy of the asylum application certificate and, where applicable, the travel document and a copy of the valid residence permit. If the asylum application was placed under the accelerated procedure when it was registered, the applicant must enclose the information leaflet given to him/her when the application was registered.

La demande d’asile est rédigée en français sur un imprimé établi par l’Office français de protection des réfugiés et apatrides. Cet imprimé doit être signé et accompagné de deux photographies d’identité récentes, de la copie de l’attestation de demande d’asile et, le cas échéant, du document de voyage et de la copie du titre de séjour en cours de validité. Dans le cas où la demande d’asile a été placée en procédure accélérée au stade de son enregistrement, le demandeur joint la notice d’information qui lui a été remise lors de cet enregistrement.
