Article R531-9 of the French Code governing the entry and residence of foreign nationals and the right of asylum

By way of derogation from article R. 531-8, the French Office for the Protection of Refugees and Stateless Persons may send correspondence relating to the asylum application to a different address communicated for this purpose by the asylum seeker when lodging his application with the Office.
The asylum seeker is required, in the event of a change of this address, to inform the Office without delay. Failing this, correspondence sent to the last address known to the Office is deemed to have been notified to the addressee.

Par dérogation à l’article R. 531-8, l’Office français de protection des réfugiés et apatrides peut adresser les correspondances relatives à la demande d’asile à une adresse différente communiquée à cette fin par le demandeur d’asile lors de l’introduction de sa demande auprès de l’office.
Le demandeur d’asile est tenu, en cas de changement de cette adresse, d’en informer sans délai l’office. A défaut, la correspondance envoyée à la dernière adresse connue de l’office est réputée notifiée à son destinataire.
