Article R532-3 of the French Code of civil enforcement procedures

The pledging of company shares is effected by the service on the company of a deed containing:
1° The name of the creditor and that of the debtor;
2° An indication of the authorisation or title by virtue of which the security is required;
3° An indication of the capital of the claim and its accessories.
In addition, in the case of a registered non-trading company, the pledge deed is published in the Trade and Companies Register.
The pledge covers all the shares unless otherwise specified in the deed.

Le nantissement des parts sociales est opéré par la signification à la société d’un acte contenant :
1° La désignation du créancier et celle du débiteur ;
2° L’indication de l’autorisation ou du titre en vertu duquel la sûreté est requise ;
3° L’indication du capital de la créance et de ses accessoires.
En outre, s’il s’agit d’une société civile immatriculée, l’acte de nantissement est publié au registre du commerce et des sociétés.
Le nantissement grève l’ensemble des parts à moins qu’il ne soit autrement précisé dans l’acte.
