Article R551-3 of the French Code governing the entry and residence of foreign nationals and the right of asylum

In the event that the asylum seeker is directed to a region other than the region where the asylum application was registered, the Office français de l’immigration et de l’intégration (French Office for Immigration and Integration) will provide the asylum seeker with a transport ticket to travel to one of the places mentioned in Article R. 551-2. The applicant must go there within five days.

Dans le cas où le demandeur d’asile est orienté vers une région différente de la région d’enregistrement de la demande d’asile, l’Office français de l’immigration et de l’intégration lui remet un titre de transport afin qu’il se rende vers l’un des lieux mentionnés à l’article R. 551-2. Le demandeur doit s’y rendre dans un délai de cinq jours.
