Article R582-3 of the French Code governing the entry and residence of foreign nationals and the right of asylum

The decision of the French Office for the Protection of Refugees and Stateless Persons is notified to the person concerned under the conditions laid down in Article R. 531-17.
In the event of a decision recognising stateless status, the Director General of the Office informs the competent Prefect with a view to issuing the multi-annual residence permit referred to in Article L. 424-18.

La décision de l’Office français de protection des réfugiés et apatrides est notifiée à l’intéressé dans les conditions prévues à l’article R. 531-17.
En cas de décision reconnaissant la qualité d’apatride, le directeur général de l’office en informe le préfet compétent en vue de la délivrance de la carte de séjour pluriannuelle mentionnée à l’article L. 424-18.
