When an application is made for admission to residence under temporary protection pursuant to article R. 581-1, the beneficiary of temporary protection is given a document, written in a language that he understands or can reasonably be expected to understand, in which the provisions relating to temporary protection applicable to him are clearly set out.

Once the obligations set out in article R. 581-1 have been met, the beneficiary of temporary protection is issued with a provisional residence permit valid for six months and bearing the words “beneficiary of temporary protection”.
