Article R581-1 of the French Code governing the entry and residence of foreign nationals and the right of asylum

The beneficiary of the temporary protection referred to in article L. 581-1, if over the age of eighteen, goes to the prefecture of the department in which he/she resides or, in Paris, to the police prefecture, to request the issue of the temporary residence document referred to in article L. 581-3.
The applicant submits the following documents in support of his/her application:
1° Information relating to his/her civil status and, where applicable, that of his/her spouse and dependent children;
2° Any information relating to the conditions under which he/she entered France;
3° Any document or piece of information attesting that he/she belongs to one of the specific groups of persons referred to in the decision of the Council of the European Union mentioned in article L. 811-2;
4° Four 3.5 cm x 4.5 cm photographs of the face, bareheaded, recent and perfectly resembling;
5° Proof of address.

Article R581-1

Le bénéficiaire de la protection temporaire mentionné à l’article L. 581-1 se présente, s’il est âgé de plus de dix-huit ans, à la préfecture du département où il a sa résidence ou, à Paris, à la préfecture de police, pour solliciter la délivrance du document provisoire de séjour mentionné à l’article L. 581-3.
Il produit les pièces suivantes à l’appui de sa demande :
1° Les indications relatives à son état civil et, le cas échéant, à celui de son conjoint et de ses enfants à charge ;
2° Toutes indications portant sur les conditions de son entrée en France ;
3° Tout document ou élément d’information attestant qu’il appartient à l’un des groupes spécifiques de personnes visés par la décision du Conseil de l’Union européenne mentionnée à l’article L. 811-2 ;
4° Quatre photographies de face, tête nue, de format 3,5 cm x 4,5 cm, récentes et parfaitement ressemblantes ;
5° Un justificatif de domicile.
