Article R5831-1 of the French General Code of Local Authorities

For the application to Mayotte of the provisions of Part Five of this Code:

1° The reference to the department, overseas department, region or overseas region is replaced by the reference to the Department of Mayotte;

2° The reference to the regional council and departmental councils is replaced by the reference to the general council;

3° The reference to the president of the regional council is replaced by the reference to the president of the general council.

Pour l’application à Mayotte des dispositions de la cinquième partie du présent code :

1° La référence au département, au département d’outre-mer, à la région ou à la région d’outre-mer est remplacée par la référence au Département de Mayotte ;

2° La référence au conseil régional et aux conseils départementaux est remplacée par la référence au conseil général ;

3° La référence au président du conseil régional est remplacée par la référence au président du conseil général.
