Article R597-2 of the French Code governing the entry and residence of foreign nationals and the right of asylum

The receipt issued, pursuant to article L. 597-1, to the foreign national applying for asylum in the French Southern and Antarctic Lands shall bear the words “Application for asylum made in the French Southern and Antarctic Lands, with a view to approaching the competent authorities in Réunion”.

Article R597-2

Le récépissé délivré, en application de l’article L. 597-1, à l’étranger qui sollicite dans les Terres australes et antarctiques françaises l’asile porte la mention ” Demande d’asile formulée dans les Terres australes et antarctiques françaises, en vue de démarches auprès des autorités compétentes de La Réunion “.
Le rapport d’audition de l’étranger est transmis à l’administrateur supérieur des Terres australes et antarctiques françaises. Celui-ci l’adresse au préfet de La Réunion et à l’Office français de protection des réfugiés et apatrides.
