Article R6111-27 of the French Public Health Code

For the application of the provisions of 2° to 4° of article L. 6111-1-2, the Director General of the Regional Health Agency designates, for each prison in the region, the nearby public health establishment responsible for providing prisoners with the care defined in article L. 6111-1, participating in the reception and treatment of emergencies and contributing to prevention and health education initiatives organised in prisons.

This appointment is made after consultation with the health establishment’s supervisory board.

Article R6111-27

Pour l’application des dispositions des 2° à 4° de l’article L. 6111-1-2, le directeur général de l’agence régionale de santé désigne, pour chaque établissement pénitentiaire de la région, l’établissement public de santé situé à proximité, chargé de dispenser aux détenus les soins définis à l’article L. 6111-1, de participer à l’accueil et au traitement des urgences et de concourir aux actions de prévention et d’éducation pour la santé organisées en milieu pénitentiaire.

Cette désignation intervient après avis du conseil de surveillance de l’établissement de santé.
