Attached practitioners who work less than three half-days per week in one or more establishments are entitled to two working days’ training leave per year.
Attached practitioners who work at least three half-days per week in one or more establishments are entitled to six working days’ training leave per year.
Attached practitioners who work full-time, i.e. ten half-days per week, are entitled to eight working days’ training leave per year.
Entitlements to training leave in respect of two years may be accumulated. The entitlement to and use of this leave is prorated according to the activity carried out in each establishment in the event of practice in several establishments.
An order issued by the Minister for Health specifies the terms and conditions for exercising the right to training leave. During this leave, attached practitioners continue to receive the full emoluments corresponding to their service obligations.
