Article R6152-68 of the French Public Health Code

The position vacated by a practitioner placed on non-active status is declared vacant when the period of non-active status exceeds six months. If the person concerned wishes to be reinstated before the end of a period of availability, he must apply for this at least two months in advance.

At the end of his period of availability, the practitioner is reinstated under the conditions set out in article R. 6152-59.

If he cannot be reinstated, he is placed on compulsory leave under the conditions laid down in article R. 6152-63.

If at the end of a period of availability a practitioner has neither returned to his duties nor obtained an extension of his availability, he is struck off the register.

Le poste libéré par un praticien placé en disponibilité est déclaré vacant lorsque la disponibilité excède six mois. Lorsque l’intéressé désire être réintégré avant l’achèvement d’une période de disponibilité, il doit en faire la demande au moins deux mois à l’avance.

A l’issue de sa mise en disponibilité le praticien est réintégré dans les conditions fixées à l’article R. 6152-59.

S’il n’a pu être réintégré, il est placé en disponibilité d’office dans les conditions fixées à l’article R. 6152-63.

Au cas où à l’expiration d’une période de disponibilité un praticien n’a ni repris ses fonctions, ni obtenu une prolongation de sa disponibilité, il est rayé des cadres.
