Article R6152-916 of the French Public Health Code

Associate practitioners may be granted sick leave upon presentation of a medical certificate, up to a limit of twelve consecutive months, during which time they will receive, for the first three months of such leave, the full emoluments mentioned in 1° of article R. 6152-912. He receives half of these emoluments for the following nine months.

Unpaid health-related leave, for a maximum of twelve months, may be granted to the associate practitioner at his request, after obtaining the opinion of the medical committee mentioned in article R. 6152-36, when the person concerned is unable, on expiry of his sick leave entitlement, to resume his activities for health reasons.

On expiry of the entitlement to sick leave or unpaid leave related to the state of health, the medical committee shall rule on the fitness of the person concerned to perform his duties.

Le praticien associé bénéficie de congés de maladie sur présentation d’un certificat médical, dans la limite d’une durée de douze mois consécutifs pendant laquelle il perçoit, au cours des trois premiers mois de ce congé, la totalité des émoluments mentionnés au 1° de l’article R. 6152-912. Il perçoit la moitié de ces émoluments pendant les neuf mois suivants.

Un congé sans rémunération lié à l’état de santé, d’une durée de douze mois au maximum, peut être accordé au praticien associé sur sa demande, après avis du comité médical mentionné à l’article R. 6152-36, lorsque l’intéressé ne peut, à l’expiration de ses droits à congé de maladie, reprendre ses activités pour raison de santé.

A l’expiration des droits aux congés de maladie ou d’un congé sans rémunération lié à l’état de santé, le comité médical se prononce sur l’aptitude de l’intéressé à ses fonctions.
