Article R6153-3 of the French Public Health Code

The medical intern performs preventive, diagnostic and therapeutic functions, by delegation and under the responsibility of the practitioner to whom he/she reports.

Medical interns undergoing training in medical biology also participate in the study of the metabolism of medicinal and toxic substances and in the preparation and validation of biological analyses contributing to the prevention, diagnosis and monitoring of treatments.

L’interne en médecine exerce des fonctions de prévention, de diagnostic et de soins, par délégation et sous la responsabilité du praticien dont il relève.

L’interne en médecine en cours de formation de biologie médicale, participe, en outre, à l’étude du métabolisme des substances médicamenteuses et toxiques ainsi qu’à l’élaboration et à la validation des analyses biologiques concourant à la prévention, au diagnostic et à la surveillance des traitements.
