Article R6213-23 of the French Public Health Code

The Chairman of the Committee may :

1° Propose, after hearing the interested party, that a member who has been absent without justified reason from more than three consecutive meetings be replaced by a person appointed under the same conditions and for the remainder of the term of office;

2° Set up working groups to deal with any issues submitted to the Committee;

3° Entrust members of the Committee with the production of reports in its areas of competence;

4° Invite to participate in the work of the Committee or the working groups, in an advisory capacity and for one or more meetings, any person whose assistance it deems useful for the study of a given question.

Article R6213-23

Le président de la commission peut :

1° Proposer, après avoir entendu l’intéressé, qu’il soit procédé au remplacement d’un membre ayant été absent sans empêchement justifié à plus de trois séances consécutives, par une personne désignée dans les mêmes conditions et pour la durée du mandat restant à courir ;

2° Constituer des groupes de travail chargés de toutes questions soumises à la commission ;

3° Confier à des membres de la commission la réalisation de rapports dans ses domaines de compétence ;

4° Appeler à participer aux travaux de la commission ou des groupes de travail, à titre consultatif et pour une ou plusieurs séances, toute personne dont le concours lui paraît utile pour l’étude d’une question déterminée.
