Article R6223-6 of the French Labour Code

The maximum number of apprentices that may be taken on simultaneously in a company or establishment is set at two per apprentice master.

Pursuant to article L. 6222-11, the apprentice master may also take on an additional apprentice, whose training is extended if he or she fails the examination.

Le nombre maximal d’apprentis pouvant être accueillis simultanément dans une entreprise ou un établissement est fixé à deux par maître d’apprentissage.

Le maître d’apprentissage peut également, en application de l’article L. 6222-11, accueillir un apprenti supplémentaire dont la formation est prolongée en cas d’échec à l’examen.
