Article R6312-27 of the French Public Health Code

The aircraft’s habitability must allow for the installation of a stretcher and two medical attendants, one of whom must be placed at the head of the sick or injured person being transported. All parts of the body of the person being transported must be easily accessible to one or other of the attendants.

The minimum space reserved for medical equipment must be 1 cubic metre.

L’habitabilité de l’avion doit permettre l’installation d’une civière et de deux personnes d’accompagnement médical, dont une placée à la tête du malade ou du blessé transporté. Toutes les parties du corps de la personne transportée doivent être facilement accessibles pour l’un ou l’autre des accompagnateurs.

L’encombrement minimum réservé au matériel médical doit être de 1 mètre cube.
