Article R632-8 of the French Code governing the entry and residence of foreign nationals and the right of asylum

If, at the end of the period set out in the fourth paragraph of article L. 632-2, which may be extended under the conditions set out in that article, the expulsion committee has not issued its opinion, the prefect informs the foreign national that the formalities for consulting the committee are deemed to have been fulfilled.

Si, à l’issue du délai fixé au quatrième alinéa de l’article L. 632-2, éventuellement prolongé dans les conditions prévues à cet article, la commission d’expulsion n’a pas émis son avis, le préfet informe l’étranger que les formalités de consultation de la commission sont réputées remplies.
