Article R711-2-1 of the French Commercial code

Local chambers of commerce and industry are established by decree. The decree shall in particular determine the constituency and location of the local chamber of commerce and industry.

When a territorial chamber of commerce and industry is transformed into a local chamber of commerce and industry between two general renewals, the elected members of the territorial chamber of commerce and industry become the elected members of the local chamber of commerce and industry. They shall sit on the local chamber of commerce and industry and, where applicable, on the regional chamber of commerce and industry until the end of the current term of office.

Unless otherwise provided by law or regulation, the provisions relating to the departmental chambers of commerce and industry of Ile-de-France shall apply to the local chambers of commerce and industry.

Les chambres de commerce et d’industrie locales sont instituées par décret. Le décret fixe notamment la circonscription et le lieu d’implantation de la chambre de commerce et d’industrie locale.

Lorsqu’une chambre de commerce et d’industrie territoriale est transformée en chambre de commerce et d’industrie locale entre deux renouvellements généraux, les élus de la chambre de commerce et d’industrie territoriale deviennent les élus de la chambre de commerce et d’industrie locale. Ils siègent à la chambre de commerce et d’industrie locale et, le cas échéant, à la chambre de commerce et d’industrie de région jusqu’à la fin de la mandature en cours.

Sauf dispositions législatives ou réglementaires contraires, les dispositions relatives aux chambres de commerce et d’industrie départementales d’Ile-de-France sont applicables aux chambres de commerce et d’industrie locales.
