In support of their application for an honorary professional journalist’s card, applicants must provide :
1° Proof of identity and nationality ;
2° A curriculum vitae certified on their honour, indicating in particular the daily or periodical publications, press agencies or audiovisual communication companies in which they worked as a professional journalist, under the conditions defined in articles L. 7111-3 and L. 7111-4 ;
3° Bulletin no. 3 of his or her criminal record, dated less than three months previously;
4° If he/she is in receipt of a retirement pension, notification from the body that pays this pension stating that he/she has been affiliated as a professional journalist and proof that he/she has worked as a journalist for at least twenty years. If they are not in receipt of a retirement pension, they must provide proof that they have reached the age for entitlement to a retirement pension under article L. 161-17-2 of the Social Security Code and that they have worked as a journalist for thirty years. Proof of status as a journalist is established by possession of a professional journalist’s identity card or by producing certificates from former employers;
5° Two recent photographs.
